Final Florida Pictures

Tom's bed for 2 weeks. Yes the bathtub!
Ahhhhh! The birds are coming the birds are coming!

Tom learned to fish.
And be nice to his sister.
I think she got some sand in her mouth.

Life with a 2 Year Old

I questioned whether or not to put this video up, but figured, "why not"? Most of our time with the kids is fun and rewarding. I have many moments that make being a daddy the best thing in the world. There are those moments, however, that challenge even the most patient of people. I imagine even Ghandi had his bad days.

So, for your viewing pleasure, here is a typical meltdown from Thomas. For those of you that have kids who went through the "terrible two's" I can see you nodding your head and laughing while watching this. For those of you without kids, ummm, not much to tell you. I'm told they eventually grow out of this stage.

As you will see, this starts out innocently enough with Thomas wanting some milk, which his way of preventing the bedtime routine. It deteriorates quickly into him not listening to Mommy. Emily tries to divert attention away with the marshmallow question, but Thomas will not be denied his meltdown. Finally we reach Tom's last stand or his "Alamo Moment". Which is just him crying for no reason.

Bittersweet

As of yesterday (3/1) our house is officially on the market. It is a very bittersweet moment for us. We love our house, our neighbors, and our neighborhood, but our family is not shrinking. Tom and Sarah are starting to get in each other's way so we decided to test the market.

If we do sell, it will be a very sad day for all of us. This is the only home Thomas and Sarah know. When we come home, Thomas will point to our house and say "That's Tom's house and that's Greta's house". (Greta lives two houses down) We can walk to Red's games and to the movies. Newport is a very tight neighborhood.

I can only hope our next house has as many good memories as this one has provided.
